Mexico again. This should probably have a bit of the backstory attached.

This man's house had burnt down. He's in his early 70s, and was living in a shed with no door or window panes. The casita you see him in is one of the four we built over the course of a week. Since he lost all his belongings in the fire, we gave him the bed as well as a metal rocking chair. The casitas are one room houses made of concrete blocks, a concrete floor, and a tin roof.

As he sat on the bed he said, "This is a house for rich people."

Holy crap, I feel bad for the man. I wish I could give him a hug.

Thanks for the background on that, it adds a greater depth to the photo. I love contrast of concrete and color it seems to reflect the harshness of life at times and the beauty of a loving sacrifice for another . Very moving that you would extend yourself for him and others in need the way that you have. My compliments!

The description behind the piece gives it so much more meaning. It's a wonderful capture, and he looks deep in thought.

Lovely thing to do, too <3

English doesn't borrow from other languages; English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over, and sifts through their pockets for loose grammar.
